In 2019 the following Prizes & Opportunities were awarded

YMF Australia Award

$30,000 presented by Youth Music Foundation of Australia Incorporated.

The YMF Australia Award consists of a scholarship a condition of which is that it is to be used predominantly for overseas study and that the funds will be distributed in a series of payments over two years.

The winner must be available to perform at a mutually convenient time, in 2 recitals for the sponsor in Melbourne. The winner is also required to sing at the IFAC Handa Australian Singing Competition’s Finals Concert in Sydney.

The winner of the YMF Australia Award also received:

Armstrong-Martin Scholarship - $4,500 presented by the Australian Elizabethan Theatre Trust to be used for overseas study.

At the discretion of the judging panel, the following additional prizes were also awarded:

Britten-Pears Young Artist Programme
 An opportunity to participate in a course in the UK. If selected the recipient will receive a scholarship to cover the fees for the course, accommodation, lunches on teaching days and a contribution to their flight costs. Each course ends with a public recital.

4MBS Classic FM Award
 A performance in the annual 4MBS Festival of Classics. Only available for a Queensland singer.
